Delhivery Shipping Label Not Printing Right? Format Fix for 4×6 and A4 (Free)
Delhivery's label PDF is built as one full A4 page per shipment — the courier label at the top, the tax invoice stacked right below it. Send that straight to a thermal printer and the label prints wrong: either stretched across the whole roll, cut off mid-barcode, or with several inches of blank space where the invoice text didn't fit.
Why the file needs reformatting first
A Delhivery label page is sized for A4, not for a 4×6 inch thermal roll, and it isn't arranged for multiple labels per A4 sheet either. Most printer drivers will try to scale the whole page to fit whatever paper is loaded, which is exactly what produces blank rolls, oversized barcodes, or labels that print halfway and stop. The fix is to crop the file to just the label before it reaches the printer.
How to crop Delhivery labels online
The Delhivery label cropper on this site processes the PDF entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded — and detects the boundary between the label and the invoice on every page automatically:
- Download your shipping label PDF from the Delhivery One or seller dashboard.
- Open the Delhivery cropper and drop the file in.
- Choose Thermal printer for a 4×6 roll, sized to the label exactly, or A4 sheet to fit multiple labels per page.
- Check the auto-detected crop on a few pages to confirm the barcode and address block are intact.
- Download the fixed PDF and print at Actual size, not "Fit to page."
If the label still prints blank after cropping: the crop usually isn't the problem — it's the printer's scaling setting overriding the page size. See our thermal printer troubleshooting guide for the exact print-dialog settings to check.
Thermal roll or A4 — which is cheaper for Delhivery volume?
If you're deciding how to print Delhivery labels at scale, the per-label economics of thermal rolls versus A4 sheets aren't always obvious. Our cost comparison guide breaks down where the actual break-even point is based on order volume.
